Cookie Policy
Effective Date: May 6, 2026
Last Updated: May 6, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners about how their site is being used.
Similar technologies — such as pixels, local storage, and session storage — work in comparable ways and are also covered by this policy. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" throughout this document.
2. Who Sets Cookies on This Site?
Cookies and similar technologies on www.ohmyglass.ca may be set by:
- OhMyGlass Window & Door Repairs (first-party): Where our application or scripts store data in your browser (for example, to remember interface state or support optional measurement).
- Third-party providers: Our hosting and infrastructure partners listed in Section 5 below.
3. Categories of Technologies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary (Hosting, Security, and Core Operation)
These technologies are needed for the Site to load, route traffic securely, and operate forms and pages. Our host (Vercel) and application framework may set short-lived technical cookies for routing, load balancing, and similar purposes. Without them, parts of the Site may not work reliably.
| Source | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting / CDN | Routing, HTTPS delivery, resilience | Often session or short-lived |
These essentials cannot be turned off through our Site without breaking core functionality; you may still restrict some categories in your browser, which might affect how the Site works.
3.2 Optional Analytics and Events
We may record interaction events in JavaScript (for example, when you tap our phone links) via a measurement helper compatible with optional tools such as Google Analytics (dataLayer). Production builds do not necessarily load Google Analytics unless a measurement snippet has been configured. Until such a snippet is deployed, events may only appear in diagnostics and not be forwarded to Google.
Where standard analytics scripts are added in the future, they may use first- or third-party cookies as described in that provider's policy. This Cookie Policy will be updated if we enable such scripts.
3.3 Functional (Local Storage and Similar)
We may use browser local storage for limited, non-marketing purposes — for example, to remember the last path you visited in some versions of the Site or to support editor/preview tooling. We do not use these technologies to sell your data or to run cross-site advertising.
| Technology | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
localStorage (where used) | Remember last path or UI state for the same device | Until you clear site data |
3.4 Marketing & Tracking Cookies (future)
We may use marketing cookies to measure advertising effectiveness (for example, via Google Ads or Meta) only after updating this policy and, where required, obtaining consent before non-essential marketing cookies are set.
At this time, we do not run behavioural advertising campaigns on this Site and do not set cookies specifically for cross-site ad targeting.
4. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell cookie data or personal information derived from cookies to third parties.
- We do not use cookies to serve you targeted advertising on other websites as of the Last Updated date above.
- We do not use cookies to build individual behavioural profiles for commercial resale.
5. Third-Party Services That May Set Cookies
The following third-party services are part of how we deliver the Site. They may set their own cookies or process technical data when you load pages. We do not control every third-party cookie — please refer to each provider's policies.
Vercel (Hosting & Blob Storage)
Our Site is hosted on Vercel; optional uploaded quote photos are stored using Vercel Blob. Vercel may set cookies or process requests as described in its documentation.

Google (Workspace, Places / Maps APIs, and embedded maps)
If you use email with us, content may flow through Google Workspace. We also use Google Places / Maps Platform APIs on our servers to show public business and review information. Embedded Google Maps (if present on a page) may set cookies according to Google's policies.

Resend
We use Resend for transactional email. Resend does not set cookies in your browser when you browse our Site; email open or link tracking may apply depending on how messages are configured. See Resend's policy for details.

6. Managing and Controlling Cookies
You can control cookies and site data through your browser.
Browser Settings
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Note: Blocking all cookies may affect how the Site and forms behave.
Do Not Track and Extensions
Many browsers support "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals; support varies and we do not guarantee specific handling of DNT for every tag or provider. You may use privacy-focused browser extensions to limit tracking.
7. Cookie Consent
We do not currently display a cookie consent banner on the Site. Strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies from our host and framework may be set automatically so the Site can function.
If we introduce non-essential cookies (for example, advertising or optional analytics that require consent under applicable law), we will update this Cookie Policy and add a consent mechanism as appropriate.
You may still control non-essential storage through your browser as described in Section 6.
8. Data Retention
Cookie and similar data is retained in line with the descriptions in Section 3 and with our Privacy Policy. Aggregated or anonymized analytics may be retained longer than raw identifiers where permitted.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
